The Altadena City-Wide Outreach and Festival is going on today from 11 AM-5 PM. Mariposa and Marcheta Streets will be closed from Lake Avenue to North El Molino Avenue during that time. Sponsored by the Abudant Harvest Christian Center, It's got something for everybody: lead coordinator Phlunte Riddle estimates that there will be 2.500 people attending throughout the day, and gave us a list of some of the activities:

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Altadena Station and the Los Angeles County Fire Department will participate by providing Earthquake and Safety demonstrations, and the California Highway Patrol will also have a presence.

The event will begin with an opening ceremony at 10:30 AM with the National Anthem and words from the U.S. Army and other dignitaries, in recognition of the 10th year anniversary of 9/11.
