The task force that will draw geographic boundaries for seats on the Pasadena Unified School District board plans to finalize the language of PUSD charter changes at a meeting this coming Tuesday, Sept. 6. The task force will meet at the Armenian Community Center, 1060 N. Allen Ave., Pasadena, at 6 PM.
The school district is planning to change from at "at-large" system for school board seats to one that establishes a geographic district for each board member. The changes are an attempt to head off lawsuits that may be filed if the "at-large" system were to continue.
Once approved by the task force and the board, the District will have to pay for an election to finalize the changes.
The proposed changes in language are in the document after the jump.
