Join the Arroyos & Foothills Conservancy at 9 AM Saturday, Oct. 15, for a hike along the route of the Mount Lowe Railway. Learn about the railway's history with docent Lyle Hatridge, and relax at the waterfall at the end. The hike is about a mile each way. It's demanding at points, with several high narrow steps near a sheer drop and a scramble over rocks in the creek near the end. AFC strongly recommends hiking boots, long pants, a long-sleeved shirt, a hat, and water. Dogs are not allowed because some sections of the trails are narrow.
