Altadena sheriff's detectives are investigating a report of a possible attempted rape Sunday night on Lake Avenue between New York Drive and Sacramento Street.
According to Sheriff Lt. Joseph Dempsey, at about 10:06 PM on Oct. 9, a suspect approached a female in her 20's on the 1900 block of Lake Avenue:
The suspect exposed himself to the victim and then grabbed her. The suspect attempted to pull the victim toward the bushes. The victim was able to free herself and punch the suspect. The suspect ran away from the location.
The suspect was described as a male African American, 5 ft. 8 ins. to 5 ft. 10 ins.,, 130 to 150 lbs, black hair, brown eyes, in his 20’s.
