The Institute of Domestic Technology has announced its upcoming fall and winter classes, all held at the Zane Grey Estate:
Sun., Oct. 23: Home Coffee Roasting: learn to roast, brew, and taste coffee using simple inexpensive stovetop equipment. This unique DIY coffee lovers class will be taught by master roaster Ian Riley of LAMILL Coffee. You'll go home with your freshly roasted beans and a stash of green ones to practice with at home.
Sat., Nov. 5: Foodcrafting Gifts for the Holidays: Foodcrafting 101 with emphasis on DIY food gifts for the holidays, inclding how to package your own gifts with the perfect containers, customized labels, and tags.
Sat. Dec. 3: Cocktail Crafting: An artisanal cocktail lover's dream class taught by Joshua McIver, director of mixology at Palate Food and Wine. We'll be gathering ingredients ranging from the apothecarian's cabinet to the "weeds" growing in your backyard.
