Before you show up at the Altadena Historical Society's tour of East Mariposa Street on Sun., Oct. 23 (details here), come to the free pre-tour lecture this Monday, Oct. 17.
AHS President Jane Brackman says "we’ll share all the new research we’ve dug up about the people who lived on Mariposa Street. The lecture will include plenty of rare pictures, interesting facts and good stories, including how most of the people who built the grand homes were interconnected either through business, relatives, friends or hometowns.
The lecture starts at 7:30, and it's free. It will be held at the Altadena Community Center, 730 E. Altadena Dr.
