- We heard about a potential robbery at the Bank of America on Lake Avenue Wednesday evening. A witness reported men on the ground being overseen by a deputy with a shotgun. But not to worry: according to the sheriff's station, it was an accidental tripping of the burglar alarm by a cleaning crew, who probably won't do it again.

It's apparently the most-trafficked area in greater Pasadena: PSN's Brian Charles has a story about the city awarding a contract for an environmental impact report for the planned sediment dig. To review: LA County wants to clear out the sediment captured behind Devil's Gate Dam -- but because they haven't, it's become a natural area beloved of hikers and nature lovers. The city of Pasadena is considering pouring salt on the wound by using the sediment to create a park with soccer fields in the area after it's presumably cleared out. Meantime, of course, the dam DOES have to keep the floodwater from washing away South Pasadena. Grab some popcorn, this is turning out to be quite a fight ...
