Give a bunny a home: Want a pet, but a dog or a cat isn't an option? Bonny Schumaker points us to Rabbitmatch.org, a rescue organization for rabbits in the Los Angeles area. They have quite a few spayed/neutered and litter-trained rabbits ready for adoption, And she says her own "On Wings of Care" will transport the rabbits if possible. http://www.onwingsofcare.org/
Goodall's honor: Our partner site Pasadena Sun reports that legislation to name the Pasadena post office after Oliver Goodall passed the Senate Monday and is headed for the president's desk. Goodall, from Altadena, was a first lieutenant in the Tuskegee Airmen during WWII and was one of the participants in the Freeman Field Mutiny, one of 60 African-American Air Corps officers arrested for entering an all-white officer's club. After the war, he became a postman.
