Michele Zack will be guest host tonight at 9 PM on the Arroyo Channel's "Our Town Pasadena" with three guests. Each personifies an aspect of the food revolution heating up Altadena:
- Joseph Schuldiner, manager of the new farmers market set to open at Loma Alta Park, will share his plans to make the market a real standout in terms of vendors and food justice.
- Erik Knutsen, author of "Making It" and bread baker extraordinaire, is one such vendor, who will be milling heritage wheat on site at the market for folks bored with making bread with "Gold Medal"; he will also detail the fun of friends getting together to make a community bread oven.
- Stephen Rudicel, food preserver par excellence, co-host of the late great Altadena Urban Farmers Market, restaurateur, will update us on the latest in cheesemaking and other food arts being taught at Altadena's own Institute of Domestic Technology.
