Two men were arrested following an attempted robbery at the intersection of Lake Avenue and Altadena Drive last night.
Altadena Sheriff Lt. Roosevelt Johnson said that four men attempted to rob a man on a bench at the intersection at about 8:45 PM. The victim ran off toward the Rite Aid parking lot, where the men began to beat him with hands, fists, and brass knuckles, Johnson said.
The victim sustained a laceration to the forehead and contusion to the right eye, as well as facial bruises. He was treated by paramedics at the scene, Johnson said.
Jamal Stewart and Jeffrey Butler, both 18, were arrested for attempted robbery and assault with a deadly weapon, Johnson said. Two other suspects remain at large.
