Yes, the Fork in the Road returns.
Altadena's sensation of 2009-10, the Fork in the Road, has been lying in state at David Smith Construction in Altadena since it was removed from the split at St. John and Pasadena Avenues in Pasadena where it was an internationally-celebrated piece of guerilla art.
Sat., Oct. 15, there will be a fundraiser potluck for the Fork, which will be restored to its place of honor on Oct. 21. Present will be Ken Marshall, the artist who created the Fork, and the Coffee Gallery's Bob Stane, in whose honor the Fork was erected on his 75th birthday.
There will be live music, drink, food (it's a potluck, so bring something) and commemorative T-shirts. The party will be at David Smith Construction, 2353 Kellogg Ct., Altadena, from 4-9 PM. The reinstallation will be Fr., Oct. 21, 11 AM.
