from Robert Staehle, ACTRWG
We hope you can join us for the Altadena Crest Trail Restoration Working Group (ACTRWG) meeting Tue., Nov. 8, 7 PM, Nov. 8, at the Altadena Community Center (730 E Altadena Drive, just west of Lake Avenue, next to the Sheriff's Station and across the street from Rite Aid).
All are welcome! Please come to express your support, concerns and ideas for "Getting our ACT (Altadena Crest Trail) together."
Please note: Comments are due this Friday, Nov. 11, on the Notice of Preparation and Initial Study of the Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works' Devil's Gate Reservoir Sediment Removal and Management Project in Hahamongna Watershed Park. This project will have significant impacts on Hahamongna parkland and neighboring communities, including trail access! The Altadena Crest Trail's western terminus is in Hahamongna Watershed Park where our trail connects to La Canada Flintridge, USFS, and lower Arroyos Seco trails. For this reason, along with concern for the scenic and natural habitat in the park, the status of the EIR will be on Tuesday's agenda.
