The Altadena Community Arts Center (ACAC) will hold its first Silent Auction and Open House on Sat., Dec. 10, from 2-4:30 PM.
Proceeds from the event will be dedicated towards supporting the center’s programs, art supplies requirements as well other start-up and operational requirements. There will also be a raffle to win one of two framed and signed limited edition prints by a nationally-reknowned artist.
The list of artists contributing works to the event includes Kent Twitchell, John Outterbridge, Dale Davis, La Monte Westmoreland, Ben Sakoguchi, Michael Chukes, Michael Messenberg, Oliver Nowlin, Raoul Del La Sota, Ian White, Aldonia Bailey, Laddie John Dill, Olga Seem, Richard Wyatt, Timothy Washington, Mark Steven Greenfield, Joe Sims, Dale E. LaCasella, Bernard Hoyes, John Martin and many others.
“We are very excited about this event and the fantastic support received from the many accomplished artists who are lending their support. It’s going to be a veritable art lovers’ feast”, said Mary Ann Stevenson, ACAC Executive Director.
In addition to the silent auction, the Community Arts Center will host an open house and tour of its facilities and will provide an overview of its plans to establish the center over time as the “go-to” location in Altadena for the development of artists, for workshops and classes for young people and adults and for exhibits and special events. Attendees at the event will also be offered the opportunity to be the very first members of the public to be issued an attractively designed Altadena Community Arts Center Founding Membership Card, that will only be available for a limited time.
The Altadena Community Arts Center is located on the grounds of the Loma Alta School Center. Access to the Center is on North Loma Alta, near North Marengo, through the parking lot entrance. For more information, visit www.altadenaartscouncil.org or call 626-797-5798.
