Reader Sonia is missing her cat, and there's a disturbing clue:
Our beloved 13 year old cat went missing on Sunday night, 10/30. His collar and ID was found in a jar at the Headstart preschool on Mendocino this morning. Can you please post something on your blog about him being lost? He's a very sweet, big (18 pounds or so) black cat who answers to the name Norman. He drools and purrs when he is petted.

UPDATE: Sonia gives us more information:
An update - the person who found the collar at the school returned it to me, and it was all chewed up. Now it might appear my cat was a victim of a coyote. I still can't figure out how the collar ended up in a jar, but maybe someone found the collar and placed it in the jar? Still very confused, alarmed and saddened by all of this.
