Laura Milfinger tells us about Marshall High's need:
The Marshall PTSA's proposal to Clorox to help fund a badly needed shade structure on the Marshall campus has been chosen to move into the voting round. Clorox is awarding four $25,000 grants and one $50,000 grant. This is the only entry from a PUSD school. The trick is to get as many votes as possible online or by texting.
The contest started on Oct 24th and so far Marshall is in 10th place out of 1,590 schools competing. Anyone 13 years of age and older can vote and you can vote via web and text once each day until December 9th. Here is the link to Marshall's entry: http://www.powerabrightfuture.com/gallery/detail/?nid=1373
If you want to help, you will need to register (top right hand side of the page), and this may take a couple of attempts. Once you have registered, from the "Gallery of Nominees" enter Pasadena, CA in the "location search" and it will take you back to Marshall's project and you can click to vote. Once you have registered, you can log in daily and vote. In addition you can text clorox5698 to 44144. Please help us provide some shade for Marshall students. Thanks for your help!
