Foodcrafters: the L.A. County Master Food Preservers program is holding a fundraiser Dec. 4 at the Homegirl Cafe in Chinatown: "Gifts for the Holidays." An afternoon of foodcrafting: food ornaments, liqueurs, gourmet mustards, and more will be demonstrated, and there are refreshments, too. Cost is $45, reservations are required, and the LA Times has more information here. Proceeds benefit the Master Food Preservers program in support of volunteer community education.
Forks News: Bob Stane writes us that five tons (yes, TONS) of food was collected at last weekend's "Put a Fork in Hunger" food drive at the Fork in the Road in Pasadena. Next: "Bury the Fork in Toys" toy drive, which will be on Dec. 10-11. More as it develops.
