Brenden M. Jackson, 19, of Altadena, was arrested Monday and charged with felony battery following a Nov. 16 assault, say Altadena sheriffs.
Brenden Jackson is the twin brother of Brandon Jackson, who was shot to death on Feb. 16 on the 300 block of West Palm St. The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors have offered a $10,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest of the killer in that crime.
According to Altadena sheriff Lt. Duane D. Allen, Brenden Jackson was sought following an incident on Nov. 16 where he is alleged to have punched a man in the face so hard he required plastic surgery.
Allen said that Brenden Jackson was an admitted member of the Altadena Bloq Crips gang, and was believed to have fled the state following the assault. A deputy spotted Jackson this afternoon walking on North Fair Oaks Avenue.
Unlike his twin Brandon, who was an athlete at John Muir High School, Brenden Jackson is five foot six and weighs over 200 lbs., and was easy to recognize, Allen said. He was taken into custody without incident, Allen said.
