- "Snowmen," a family comedy film, premieres at Altadena Baptist Church, 791 E. Calavaras St., at 6:30 and 8:30 PM. Starring Altadena resident Bobby Coleman (Martian Child), the up and coming young star recently played Miley Cyrus' little brother in the film "The Last Song." Bobby will be at the screening to greet attendees, sign autographs, and answer questions directly following each screening. Also starring Ray Liotta (Wild Hogs), Bobb’e J. Thompson (That’s So Raven), Josh Flitter (The Greatest Game Ever Played) and Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future), the film tells the story of three small-town boys who find adventure and purpose through their attempts to set a Guinness World Record. Q&A and autographs will be after the showings at 8:05 and 10 PM.
- The Altadena Altadena Ale & Wine House, 2329 N. Fair Oaks Ave., hosts the second annual Limerick Festival, from 6:30-10 PM. Celebrities include MC Mimi Chen and NPR's Tess Vigeland, along with many poets and an open mic. $10 donation goes to Jansplays' fundraiser for City of Hope.

- Christmas Tree Lane Lights Up goes from 9 AM-noon. In the morning you will be greeted with donuts, coffee and hot chocolate and after 12:00 lunch will be served. If you are bringing a group of more than 5 on any weekend and plan to stay and have lunch, PLEASE call (626) 403-1123 so that we will have enough food for everyone.
- Arroyos & Foothills Conservancy Hiking Series: Docent: John Harrigan, author, "Mt. Lowe Power." Meet: Pleasantridge Drive and Rubio Vista Drive. The Mount Lowe Railway was a feat of engineering when it was constructed in the late 19th century: the third in a series of scenic mountain railways in America, with a funicular system built by the man who designed San Francisco's cable cars. Learn about the technical workings of this incredible railroad in a hike along its former route with electrical engineer John Harrigan.Trail Description: About a mile each way. The hike is demanding at points, with several high narrow steps near a sheer drop and a scramble over rocks in the creek near the end.
- National Gaming Day at the Library: Children of all ages and their parents are invited to come to the Altadena Main Library, 600 E. Mariposa St. for National Gaming Day. Play old favorite board games or try some new ones! Stop by the children’s room anytime between 10 AM-6 PM to take part in this event.
- "Handmade Holiday" craft boutique at the Green Carriage House on Santa Rosa Avenue (behind the Altadena Main Library), 2-6 PM. Vendors will be selling handmade crafts, with 10% of proceeds to benefit Club 21, the Down Syndrome resource center. Cash or check only, please.
- "Put the Fork in Hunger": What promises to be Pasadena's largest food drive will be at at “Fork Plaza” 200 Bellefontaine ,located at Pasadena Ave. & St. John Ave. (just South of Huntington Hospital) and Bellefontaine in Pasadena to benefit Union Station Homeless Services. Drive by the Fork in the Road and drop off non-perishable food items that will be help feed over 5,000 people on Thanksgiving Day. Simply drive by slowly and drop off food items to volunteers wearing the bright orange shirts with outreach bags. 8 AM-4 PM.
