This elder deodar cedar pulled up, roots and all, on Santa Rosa just north of Woodbury.

.... which it was for us. Our power went out about a half hour after the storm hit Wednesday night, and it isn't on yet (we are coming to you from the cozy confines of the Sidewalk Cafe HTS this morning). One of our trees has fallen across the driveway, making ingress and egress at the house quite difficult. Add to that PUSD is out for two days, and we had a doctor's appointment that turned into a three hour ordeal, the Mrs. pulling 11 hours at work and well, anything that could go wrong did!
Easily the largest event since the Station Fire, Wednesday's night's windstorm knocked down a lot of our familiar trees and created a lot of damage. We're having a catch-up day today, but here's what we've picked up so far, after the jump:
Santa Rosa south of Woodbury Road was a mess of fallen branches and trees that closed it for several hours Thursday morning.
Another venerable old tree uprooted at Charles White Park.
"Under the Sea" children's play area lost its canopy at the Chase building ...
... because it flew all the way to Jack in the Box across the street.
Reader Gillen Silsby sends us this from Braeburn -- there's a BMW somewhere under that tree.
