Altadena residents will have their curbed green waste picked up free of charge, starting tomorrow (Monday) -- but there are a few conditions attached.
That's the word from Edel Vizcarra, planning deputy to County Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich.
Vizcarra said that Altadena's contract hauler, Athens Waste, will post a double crew and will start picking up tree debris and other green waste stacked on public roads starting tomorrow morning.
Larger waste, such as tree branches, should be small enough for one person to load into the truck, Vizcarra said. Smaller branches and leaves should be bagged or in boxes for loading.
As was done this weekend, the county will also accept tree debris trucked in to Farnsworth Park next Saturday and Sunday, according to Vizcarra.
