Thanks to our readers, we've managed to get all of our missing Christmas dogs back home where they belong ... the latest: Truman!
His humans Teresa Apollo and Peter Berman tell us the epic tale, an email from 1:30 AM today:
TRUMAN WAS FOUND (RESCUED) FROM EATON CANYON TONIGHT CLOSE TO MIDNIGHT.
At around sundown, he was spotted stuck high atop the canyon on a very steep ridge by two amazing people. Jim and Maggie are in their early 20's, saw the posted signs and heard howling. Jim took a photo after climbing to an extremely precarious location where Truman was stuck. He notified us, and with the help of some incredible friends we went out into the canyon to try to find him.
It was very dark and extremely daunting. We searched and searched the area that he was spotted in and finally located Truman stuck at the very top of the ridge. We stayed with him for about an hour and were helped by three amazing firemen from Station 66 in Altadena. We were finally able to extricate him and exit through Jeff and his wife and daughter's backyard. It was amazing and a miracle!
Thank you so much to everyone that helped search for him, put up signs, give moral support, chant for him, and kept our family and Truman in their thoughts and prayers.
Kellie of Generation Pet was amazing as were Mary Baba, Julie Sato, Steve Riskin, Jeremy Levine, Beverly Hyde, Nicole Rathje-Jones, Stacie Fields, Laurie Picone, Joanna Morehead, Christina Gray, Altadenablog, our children, and so many more. So sorry if we forgot anyone!
We are so grateful and full of gratitude!!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
We are all exhausted.
