My Unplanned Hiatus From Electricity

I live in Altadena, California
(It's just north of Pasadena.)
Because it's so near to JPL
I call my town NASAdena.
Due to recent hurricane force winds
So destructive they amaze
I haven’t had any power in my home
Over the last five days.
But now things are back to normal
I’m cooking with gas & right as rain.
Haven’t seen any news in a while:
