Reader Smarsh Cavallo writes:
One positive outcome of the windstorm is that neighbors on the west and east side of Ganesha finally talked to each other about power outages. There are times for both sides that we notice the other side of the street has power and we don't. In other words it works both ways! We all reached out to help each other too. Community bonding.

Sgt. Marsha Williams at Altadena Sheriff Station says that the Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation was responsible for providing free blankets at the Altadena Community Center yesterday, so thanks to them.
She also reminds us that there is a new 800 number attached to 211 for unincorporated Los Angeles county residents to call in damage from the windstorms: 1 (800)980-4990. Incorporated city resident should continue to call city agencies.
