Received an email from a reader who said that two female friends -- both moms-to-be -- were attacked by two pitbulls while walking on Florecita Drive on Saturday. One had to be taken to the emergency room for stitches. No other information available.
Not the first dog attack story we've received in the past month.
UPDATE, 8:30 PM: we received the following email, and are respecting their wish for privacy:
My wife was one of the women that were attacked, and ended up in the Huntington Emergency room getting 45+ stitches in the back of her leg. The attack was unprovoked, and the two dogs ended up biting her at least 5 times before the owner got them to back off. The good news is that she is fine, the baby is fine, and our friend and her baby are ok as well. The two dogs have been quarantined by animal control for 10 days, and the owner does not look like he will protest the dogs being put down after that.
