The City of Pasadena is offering free ground-up tree mulch to non-commercial Pasadena residents, starting today. (We don't think they'll check your address!)
The city has "millions of pounds of green debris collected from the December windstorm," according to a press release, ground up and available to go. You need a shovel and something to carry it in.
Mulch will be available starting Wed., Feb. 1, from 7 AM-3 PM at Robinson Park, 1081 N. Fair Oaks Ave., in the parking lot on Morton Street.
For more information about free mulch or other city recycling programs, contact Public Works Customer Service at (626) 744-4087.
