Dear Altadena Valentines,
I'd like to send my heart,
but maybe just for this year's fun
I'll pledge a different part!
There's the lovely epiglottis,
directing air and food.
Or, the hammer, anvil, stirrup,
to ring out Love's sweet mood.
The coccyx tells the tale of love,
it sits and waits upon.
Patellas bend, and twist and roll
like puppy dogs in love!
Epidermis! It's the most of me
but much too big to send.
And so we come to this quaint thought,
the Heart, and this poem's end.
Dear Valentines, I'll keep my parts,
but send sweet wishes too.
An Altadena Valentine,
and headed straight to you!
