Several roads within the Angeles National Forest will be closed this weekend, as county officials anticipate snow and icy road conditions as a result of a major storm expected to hit Friday night.
The closures will start at 5 a.m. Saturday on Upper Big Tujunga Canyon Road from Angeles Crest Highway to Angeles Forest Highway and on Angeles Forest Highway from Aliso Canyon Road to Upper Big Tujunga Canyon. Access will be maintained for emergency vehicles only until the weather and road conditions improve, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works.
Pasadena is preparing for the big rainstorm expected this weekend by opening sandbag stations and warning residents to take safety precautions. The storm is expected to rain and thunderstorms to the area, starting Friday evening and lasting throughout the weekend.
