Your d.i.y. ambassadors/instructors will be some of the city’s finest food crafters. The workshop includes four, 1-hour foodcrafting sessions, a catered lunch and morning beverages. Each participant will be sent home with their very own bread, a take-home container of cheese, a jar of fruit preserves, a container of mustard and a custom instruction manual with recipes and a resource guide.
Sun., March 25: Coop to Kitchen: The proliferation of backyard chicken keeping has generated a need for reliable instruction in the safe and humane harvesting of chickens. Whether your goal is to dispatch older hens in order to refresh your laying flock, or you'd like to try your hand at raising healthy meat birds for your family, The Institute comes to the rescue with a hands-on workshop that will give you the confidence to responsibly manage your flock.
