More information is coming to light about Emmit Zinn, the 70-year-old man whose body was found aflame on Windsor Avenue April 15.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department inmate website, Zinn was arrested and booked for an unspecified felony on March 20 by the Los Angeles Police Department traffic division. According to the records, he was fined $510 on March 22, and released from custody on March 28.
The Pasadena Star News has an unnamed source that says Zinn may have been involved in arson-related insurance scams. Authorities have been keeping information close to the vest since the case broke.
