UPDATE: The sheriff's station just sent out a report that a COPS team member (Community Oriented Policing) "spotted a male black pedestrian who possibly had the butt of a gun sticking out of his pocket. Before the deputy could make contact with this individual, the suspect walked into a house on Altadena Drive." The report says he was in his 20's.
According to the report, deputies set up a containment area around the house and tried calling out the suspect with a loudspeaker, to no response. The report says the suspect called the Altadena Sheriff Station and asked why he was being called out. After speaking to the watch deputy, who suggested he leave the house, the suspect walked out of the house and surrendered without incident. According to the report, the suspect was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm.
