One of our dependable readers tells us that, for the last one or two weeks in the Meadows, someone has been clearing out the mailboxes of outgoing mail on Risinghill and El Prieto Road:
On Friday, many homes were missing outgoing mail apparently removed in the early morning hours.
We found mail from Lincoln Ave tossed in our yard - and found our mail in the neighbors yard.
Apparently, they are taking what they want, and dumping magazines and junk mail in the bushes.
This was also reported on Greg Stanton's Welcome to the Meadows blog a couple of weeks ago, which speculates it may be someone looking for tax refund checks (fortunately for us, we don't get those!)
Keep an eye out for suspicious activity. Call the Altadena Sheriff Station at 798-1131.
