- Body identified: The body found on Angeles Crest Highway on Thursday has been identified as Noe Vasquez, 35, according to the Los Angeles County coroner. While no autopsy has been completed, officials say he may have died of a gunshot wound. Pasadena Sun has more.
- Scholarship luncheon: Gamma Zeta Boulé Foundation (GZBF) announced that they will hold their annual Gamma Zeta Boulé Foundation Scholarship Luncheon, on Sun., June 3, at the Pasadena Hilton. Chris Schauble, KTLA 5 Morning News co-Anchor, will be the host for this celebration and Congressman Adam B. Schiff will be the keynote speaker. Andre Birotte Jr., United States Attorney for the Central District of California, and Robert C. Davidson Jr., Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Art Center College of Design, will be honored for outstanding leadership. The Gamma Zeta Boulé Foundation (GZBF) will also recognize high school seniors graduating from the GZBF LAMP Mentor Program. - Booster seat boosters: We're not a big fan of "like me" contests, but this may be worthwhile: SafetyBeltSafe USA, which promotes the use of booster seats, is entered in a Facebook contest for a grant from State Farm to extend its school program.
