"Land of Flowing Waters"
from gloriana casey
Transition of the urban land
and Angeles National Park,
the HAHAMONGA lends its name,
unique in water part.
Our peopled Earth is growing fast,
Seven billion live today.
Our land and water---LIMITED,
neath population's sway.
Park serves a mighty, mighty need
for populations wide;
for horses, bikes and hikers too
plus golfers, on the side.
THREE hundred acres---so pristine
for recreation needs.
Do not forget the FLOOD control
and city WATER needs.
This habitat diversified
with animal and plant,
and Pasadena, meeting rules,
need open door --- revamp!
PERCEPTION--often matters more,
than the TRUTH so plain.
For what you win in no notice,
will not translate to gain!
So---PLEASE, dear recreation/parks,
broadcast the meetings wide!
QUI BONO is what people ask,
WHO BENEFITS inside?
Do not be tempted--people say
to pretend it's for jobs.
In Land and Water's scarcity--
you'll bring pitch forking mobs!
But please remember, city dear,
at our Nation's start,
POSTERITY for future lives
was at the Nation's heart!
And one more thing I have to say.
if playing fields you make,
with digging plans and more plumbing--
bathrooms? A big mistake!
QUI BONO is the question here,
Land of Flowing water!
No fields nor building needed here
NOR bathrooms...WATER slaughter!
