The Verdugo Young Musicians Association will present a spring concert on Fri., June 1, at Longfellow Elementary School Auditorium, 1065 E. Washington Blvd., Pasadnea.
"JB and Beyond: From Bach to James Brown" features the VYMA Longfellow String Orchestras, Choir, Kinder and Musicianship Class in a concert that includes music from Bach to James Brown, and from TV and the movies.
There will also be a world premiere by composer-in-residence Ted Masur.
The event starts at 6 PM, and is free and open to the public.
