The Altadena Coalition of Neighborhood Associations (ACONA) will hear from the Altadena Chamber of Commerce, meet new Sheriff Capt. John Benedict, and find out why El Patron has succeeded in a location where many other restaurants have failed.
Ed Meyers, Lori Webster, and Daniel Harlow of the Altadena Chamber of Commerce will talk about attracting more businesses to town, parking requirements, empty storefronts, permitting issues, and all the other challenges faced by local businesses. They will also discuss last year's Altadena business survey.
Also featured will be an interview with Alex Cortes, owner of El Patron Mexican Restaurant.
This will also be the first meeting for Benedict, who will address any community issues.
ACONA meets on Tues., June 26, from 7-8:30 PM at the Altadena Main Library Community Room, 600 E. Mariposa St.
