The Altadena Sheriff's Station held a meet-and-greet Thursday at the Senior Center for the public and to celebrate several career moves among the officers at the Altadena Sheriff Station.
Part of it was to welcome new Sheriff Capt. John Benedict and Detective Lt. Michael White. Lt. Duane Allen moved from detectives into the slot of operations lieutenant for Altadena Station, replacing Lt. Roosevelt Johnson, a two-year station veteran who become an aide to Chief Neal Tyler. Johnson replaced Benedict, who left the position to assume command of Altadena's sheriff station.
Which resulted in probably the most long-winded cake inscription you've ever seen.
