As if there wasn't enough to do on Saturday, Nancy Steele, president of the Arroyos & Foothills Conservancy, says they need some help this weekend:
Neighbors and Friends,
Ever since the Arroyos & Foothills Conservancy purchased the Andrea Wilson Triangle on Chaney Trail, we have used volunteers to help us comply with County-mandated brush clearance (aka fuel reduction). Many of you have helped out in the past and we need your help again.
When: Saturday, June 9, from 8 - 11 am.
Where: Near 3696 Chaney Trail, Altadena; parking is available in the turnout (just below Alzada Road).
You should wear gloves, long pants, long-sleeved shirt, hat, boots or sturdy shoes, and sunscreen. Bring hand tools if you have them - if you don't we will provide. There is poison oak in the area - if you are sensitive you need to be able to identify it and keep away. Please leave your small children at home. You will be asked to sign a liability waiver. And you will get a good workout!
If you can't participate but still want to help, contributions to Arroyos & Foothills Conservancy, P.O. Box 3, Altadena, CA 91003-0003 are always appreciated.
