from the Lake Avenue Community Foundation
On Friday, June 15, Lake Avenue Community Foundation will host its second annual "STARS for Tomorrow Benefit" to honor local youth and to raise support for the foundation's academic, technology and enrichment programs for young people and their families.
The event will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the Noor Restaurant and Ballroom at 260 East Colorado Blvd. in Pasadena.
Over the past eleven years LACF has been a partner to Pasadena Unified School District and other local organizations engaging students and their families through its STARS tutoring program for elementary and secondary school students, its Mentoring Program for middle school through college-age students, its Adopt-A-School program, summer SKILLZ program for students in need of remedial support, and its social/emotional health counseling programs.
