Starting July 7, Loma Alta Park in Altadena will join the city of Pasadena's "Parks After Dark" program, offering free recreational, educational, cultural, and family activities for residents.
The programs will take place on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings from 6 PM-10 PM at the parks through Aug. 24. Programs are geared toward families, teens, young adults, and seniors, providing fun and fitness activities. Entertainment, such as music and concerts, will be offered -- and there will be free snacks.
Loma Alta activities include martial arts, Zumba, teen club, hip hop dance, adult basketball, cardio stick fighting, and many others. There will also be special events, such as an ice cream social, family sock hop, and performing and fine arts shcwoase.
There will be community meetings to discuss the program tonight, Thurs., June 14, from 6-7 PM at Robinson Park in Pasadena and Wed., June 20, from 6-7 PM at Villa Parke.
