- Community Chest hits milestone: The Altadena Community Chest has just hit a milestone: with its latest $500 donation to Altadena Elementary School's LEARNS program, the Community Chest has hit the $10,000 mark in donations to local nonprofits and institutions. The Altadena Community Chest, started by Russ Fega of Home Shoot Home, is funded by contributions from film studios and producers who shoot in Altadena.
- Senior Games: MonteCedro will host a private screening of the award-winning documentary "Age of Champions." This inspirational documentary features an 86-year-old vaulter, 100-year-old tennis player, and a team of grandmothers who dominate the basketball court as they train for the National Senior Olympic Games. The documentary also discusses the mental and physical benefits of continuing to exercise as you age. After the screening, attendees will meet and discuss the film with producer Keith Ochwat and meant local former National Senior Games Champions.
