On Aug. 3, Shirley Temple stars in "Little Miss Broadway," as an orphan who lives in a show business hotel.
On Aug. 10, "The Lorax" speaks for the trees, with a romance thrown in in this Dr. Seuss classic.
On Aug. 17, "Hugo" is an orphan boy who lives in the Paris railway station, solving a mystery involving a mechanical man.
On Aug. 24, the summer comes to a close with Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen in "The Hunger Games," the first of a planned four-part series based on the young adult novels.
All movies are rated PG ("Hunger Games" in particular is not for small children), and start at 3 PM at the Altadena Main Library, 600 E. Mariposa St.
