from the Altadena Sheriff Station
Altadena Sheriff’s Captain John Benedict is seeking community members and business owners from all Altadena census tracts to serve on the Altadena Sheriff’s Station Community Advisory Committee (CAC). CAC members provide counsel to the Altadena Sheriff’s Station and serve as a liaison between the Altadena Sheriff’s Station and the wider community.
At regular monthly meetings, CAC members discuss issues that require attention, assist in establishing community partnerships, and suggest possible solutions to community problems. CAC members are invited to help create programs to meet community needs. CAC members serve as ambassadors for a healthy and safe community with their neighbor-constituents.
CAC Membership requires active involvement and communication with residents within their census tract and the wider community. Members should be abreast of local current affairs, especially those within their census tract, and willing to be a liaison between the Sheriff’s Station and their census tract. In addition, the CAC will support various community events sponsored by the Altadena Sheriff’s and other community organizations.
To apply for the Community Advisory Committee, please download the application form on the Sheriff's website (http://shq.lasdnews.net/pages/patrolstation.aspx?id=ALD) or Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/AltadenaSheriffsStation), or pick up an application at the Station at 780 E. Altadena Drive.
A background check will be conducted prior to appointment.
