The Arroyo Food Co-op invites you to join them on a tour of Muir Ranch, John Muir High School's three-acre farm and community supported agriculture (CSA) program.

A CSA is a way for consumers to buy local, seasonal produce directly from farmers. You sign up for a full or half box of fruits and vegetables, and pick it up at a designated location once a week. It's a great option for people who love the farmer's market but can't get there every week, and it's an excellent value. Because a CSA enables farmers to save on overhead costs, produce is generally less expensive than what you find at the farmers market.

 

Muir Ranch’s weekly boxes, or shares, contain produce and flowers grown by the kids, supplemented with fruits and vegetables from other local farmers.
