"The House at POO Corner"
from gloriana casey
A man named A.A. Milne he wrote
of Winnie, the Pooh bear.
A man named Tim Dundon, he has
some compost large--- I swear!
And now there is a garden gate,
of iron and stained glass.
With magnifier center struck,
an eye feast, come to pass.
Two artists Ray Cirino there
and with Leigh Adams work ,
you've built a Planet Wonder Gate
for Dundon's earthy perk.
The House of POO, we celebrate,
and so does Mother Earth.
The county got its two cents in
by stirring up the dirt.
Now Tim, he is a wonder man,
a rhymer and Earth's Muse.
He knows the wealth that lies in soil
and spreads its magic use.
Compost, Compost, you are the King
and Tim it's Minister.
For goodly soil brings goodly crops
there's nothing sinister!
Although he has no Tigger cat
nor Eeyore's gloomy cloud,
he has a wealth of bird life there
and Nature is so proud!
To know the SOIL is to know LIFE
and see what's growing here!
Through rhyming Tim, we hear the sounds
from that Celestial Sphere.
He's music man and muse man too,
a Jungle Book alive!
in Altadena spirit true,
he'll make your garden thrive!
As Alchemist of Soil, Tim is
though gold's not the aim.
We love the House at POO Corner,
and Dundon's --- Compost Fame!
