Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich has reappointed Dr. Sandra Thomas to the Los Angeles County Commission on Human Relations.
A resident of Altadena, Dr. Thomas founded the Quality of Life Center, Inc, where she serves as President/CEO to the Bright Futures Scholars. She currently serves as an Altadena Councilmember, and is a life member of the NAACP. Dr. Thomas is also a member of the Altadena Sheriff’s Clergy Council, the Altadena Chamber of Commerce, the League of Women Voters, the Altadena Crown City Kiwanis-Past President and the Altadena Community Center Board of Directors.
The Los Angeles County Commission on Human Relations is dedicated to promoting positive race and human relations in an increasingly complex and multicultural county. The Commission works to develop programs that proactively address racism, religious prejudice, linguistic bias, and other divisive attitudes that can lead to inter-cultural tension, hate crimes and related violence.
