A representative of Walmart is scheduled to attend the next meeting of the Altadena Coalition of Neighborhood Associations (ACONA) on Oct. 9 at the Altadena Senior Center, 560 E. Mariposa St., from 7-8:30 PM.
Walmart is planning to open a Walmart Neighborhood Market on Lincoln Avenue early next year, and has said it is looking at the possibility of opening a store at the Lake/Calavaras crater in east Altadena.
According to Elliot Gold of ACONA, "WalMart has agreed to answer all questions, but in order to prepare properly, would like to see many of them in advance of the meeting."
