Halloween starts early this weekend with special deals at the North Lake Business District.
The Altadena Chamber of Commerce and the businesses around Lake Avenue and Mariposa Street will have a community "Halloweekend" Trick or Treat party on Saturday Oct. 27, from noon to 4 PM.
Meredith Miller of the Chamber says that each participating store will offer its own Halloween deal -- a discount, a coupon, or anthing else they decide to share.
As an example, Miller -- who is co-owner of Webster's Community Pharmacy -- says that the pharmacy will have a special game for kids and will discount all Halloween items by 50%.
Besides Webster's Community Pharmacy, participating businesses include Webster's Fine Stationers, California Property Solvers, Steve's Pets, Lindsey's Liquors, Ms. Dragon's Print and Copy, El Patron, Steve's Bikes, Webster's Liquors, Altadena Hardware, and Merit Cleaners.
