Altadena and Eaton Canyon Golf Courses will be getting new management as of Nov. 1.
As first revealed by local blogger Victor Caballero, O&J Golf Course Construction will manage the golf courses following the default of the current leaseholder, DC Golf, Inc.
The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors cancelled the current lease with DC Golf, Inc., which was over a year behind in its rent, according to county documents. The county department of Parks and Recreation issued a notice of default on Sept. 26, 2011, and cancelled the lease agreement with DC Golf on Sept. 24, 2012.
The county is expecting to realize $350,000 from the Altadena Golf Course and $425,000 from the Eaton Canyon Golf Course over the course of the five year leases.
DC Golf is a limited partnership run by Doug Colliflower, a member of the Altadena Town Council. According to the Corporationwiki site, related businesses include DC Golf Maintenance and DC Golf Restaurant.
County documents detailing the new lease are here.
