Now HOOTY is a lovely owl,
although he's not alive.
He's made of wood to guard the goods,
to help our forest thrive!
NEFARIOUS has struck again,
or maybe Voldemort.
An enemy of Common Good
and we don't like that sort!,
Jane Szabo, please do not give up,
make HOOTY live again!
For we will find the criminal,
and we will not give in!
Oh criminal--or two or three,
whoever you might be;
technology will step right up,
and find you, can't you see?
So close to JPL we are,
and you think you can win?
HOOTY will live to hoot once more,
when--- community kicks in!
Perhaps a night vision camera
will hide among the trees.
Or maybe there's a lo-jack size,
and siren,that will please.
So JPL, attention please,
we need some clever thought.
Please volunteer some great ideas
so vandals can be caught!
This city has a birth date soon,
and Owen's stone's intact.
So celebrate please, HERITAGE,
that we've got HOOTY's back!
So Altadena HERITAGE,
please add to your display,.
and add a box to raise some funds
for HOOTY's new birthday.
For HOOTY, he will rise again,
you can't keep good owls down!
And Voldemort-ish vandal types,
GET OUT! Get out of town!
