The big show in the sky is all the show some people are going to see for awhile, as power has been knocked out in several neighborhoods Thursday afternoon.
As of 4:30 PM, Soutthern California Edison is reporting that 2,005 customers are affected by a blackout centered on Mariposa Street east of Lake. Another outage, affecting 844 customers, is reported occurring west of Lincoln Avenue.
A smaller outage, affecting 21 customers, is reported around St. James north of Altadena Drive, and one of our correspondants on Mt. Lowe Drive is reporting an outage that Edison hasn't acknowledged.
You can keep up with the local outages at Edison's outage map, located here.
UPDATE 8:30 PM: Quite a few neighborhoods throughout Altadena are without power at this time, with a cluster in the neighborhood surrounding Mountain View Cemetery -- most of them still under investigation.
